DOUGLAS COUNTY AQUATICS FOUNDATION
What We’re Building
We are creating a world-class destination for competitive swimming, diving, and community wellness. Our vision is to serve the south metro area with the region's first 50-meter competition pool, providing an essential hub for athletes and families in Douglas County and surrounding counties.
🏊♂️
Competition Pool
A world-class 50-meter by 25-yard pool, designed for high-level training, regional competitions, and local swim club development.
💦
Diving Well
Dedicated deep-water diving area with multiple springboards, providing a safe and professional environment for student-athletes.
☀️
Warm Water Pool
A heated community pool for swim lessons, therapeutic use, and recreational programs, accessible for all ages and abilities.
Spectator & Community Spaces
The facility is designed as a hub for both elite competition and community wellness. Beyond the deck, the center will feature expansive spectator seating with unobstructed views of the competition pool, integrated technology for real-time race results, and versatile community rooms for meetings, dry-land training, and local events. This is a space built for everyone in Douglas County.
Proven in Colorado
Our vision is inspired by successful aquatic centers throughout Colorado that demonstrate long-term sustainability and operational excellence. By learning from these proven models, the Douglas County Aquatics Foundation is designing a project that balances community needs with financial responsibility, ensuring a world-class facility that serves our region for generations to come.
Designed to Grow
The facility is master-planned in phases. Phase 1 focuses on the critical 50-meter pool and support spaces — but the nearly 18-acre Pine Drive site holds room for much more. As our mission and funding expand, future phases could add facilities the south metro area currently lacks: an ice sheet for Douglas County's growing hockey and figure skating community, pickleball courts, or other sport-specific facilities identified as regional needs.
The vision starts with the pool. The land allows for more.
